PAUL STODDART the Australian entrepreneur, whose aviation interests started many years ago in purchasing some ex-military transport aircraft, is reported to be planning to launch a new Antipodean cut-price airline according to the Herald Sun, the biggest-selling daily newspaper down under. Stoddart, owner of the Minardi Formula One team (whose cars are normally first out to practice ” it is said that is the only way they gain coverage) was the power behind Bournemouth-based European Aviation Air Charter, now a Boeing 747 operator, and still owns the successful European Aviation aircraft spares company based at Ledbury, Herefordshire. The new airline, which could be called either 'OzAir' or ”Eurojet' might be up and running by May.
