ONEWORLD has a new managing partner (chief executive) in the shape of John McCulloch previously vice-president marketing of the global alliance. He succeeds Peter Buecking, who was named last month as the new president of SITA. In his new role, John will continue to work from the Vancouver HQ of Oneworld. In June 2000 John was one of the first executives recruited by the Oneworld Management Company having served for 15 years with Cathay Pacific covering roles in marketing and sales. He then joined banking multi-national HSBC, becoming Head of Group Marketing based in its London headquarters, responsible for implementing its global re-branding in the late 990s. A 44-year-old Scot, he is a Cambridge law graduate. A keen sportsman, he has run the London Marathon in 3 hours 40 minutes. http://www.oneworldalliance.com
