OCTOPUS TRAVEL, a sponsor of ABTN, has become the global accommodation provider for LAN, one of Latin America”s leading and most successful airlines. LAN airlines” web customers worldwide (excluding the USA and Canadian markets), can now search for hotel accommodation through an OctopusTravel co-branded link on the airline”s website. Octopus sees the new client as a means of increasing its presence in South America while the airline will be able to grow revenue by offering customers a one-stop shop for booking travel. Officially now the LAN Alliance, the Santiago (Chile) based conglomerate includes LAN Airlines, LAN Express, LAN Peru, LAN Ecuador, and LAN Argentina. Currently, the LAN Alliance operates 57 passenger aircraft and eight dedicated freighters.
