Oasis Hong Kong Airlines has suffered another delay to its service. The low-cost, long-haul carrier took off 16 hours later than scheduled this week. The flight from Gatwick to Hong Kong was supposed to take off on Sunday, but instead left on Monday.
Earlier this month the inaugural flight had difficulties in achieving its schedule after Russian authorities prohibited it from entering its aerospace. Until the situation is rectified, the airline has issued this statement: ”Oasis flight times have been temporarily affected by a flight path change. Therefore, until further notice, all flights between London and Hong Kong will arrive up to 1 hour 10 minutes later than our currently published schedules.
”Departure times for all flights remain unchanged. We apologise for the inconvenience and recommend that passengers making connecting flight bookings make sufficient allowance for this temporary change in flight time.”
