BREMEN, the north German industrial city, is to continue with its links to London following the short notice pull out by British Airways of its Gatwick operation. OLT, whose history dates back to 1958, has introduced a twice daily (once at the weekends) Saab 2000 service from London City Airport, whilst giving a very early outbound flight (0720 ” return departure 1715) making for a full day at a city which combines history and an impressive pedestrian only central area, and major manufacturing plants for both Airbus and Mercedes Benz. On the gastronomic front decaffeinated coffee was invented in Bremen and it is also the home of Becks, Germany”s number one beer exporter.
