OAG has published some interesting flight statistics on what is the third anniversary of the tragic 9/11 terror attacks. OAG compared worldwide flight schedule frequency against 2001 levels. It found that for the first time since the attacks, flight levels worldwide are now on par with 2001. In fact worldwide seat capacity is up 3%. In the US the air transport scene is at last looking up with actual domestic flights growing by 12% over last year, and seat capacity increased by 13%. Washington Dulles International, New York JFK and Chicago Midway airports are operating at levels above 11 September 2001.
