CONTINENTAL TAKES OAG AIRLINE OF THE YEAR ” AGAIN
Houston-based Continental Airlines took the OAG Airline of the Year for the second year running at an impressive ceremony in London”s Park Lane Sheraton last week. Senior executives of the airline found themselves with a busy schedule. The following morning the airline launched a daily service between Bristol and Newark New York. Maurice Flanagan, vice chairman and group president Emirates, gained a Lifetime Achievement Award whilst Jaroslav Tvrdik, president, CSA Czech Airlines was honoured for his personal involvement in helping to transport children injured and traumatised from the school tragedy in Beslan to the Czech Republic for rehabilitation. To him and his airline went the Outstanding Service Award.
