OAG has confirmed the date for this year's Airline of the Year Awards for Thursday 19 May at the Park Lane Hotel, London. The Awards are held in the highest regard within the airline world. Continental Airlines won the title 'Airline of the Year 2004', the first US-based carrier to take the title since the awards were established 23 years ago. Our photo shows (from left to right), Eddie Bell, chairman OAG, Tim Kennedy, Continental's Managing Director Europe/Middle East Sales & Marketing and Les Higgins, OAG CEO. OAG also presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Lord Marshall, former Chairman of British Airways. Airlines and airports can nominate themselves in two categories: 'Best Marketing Campaign' and 'Outstanding Service', which is awarded to an individual who has acted above and beyond the call of duty.
