Norwegian has been added to the government’s list of preferred airline for its corporate travel.
The new deal will provide discounted air travel for central government officials to more than 50 destinations from the UK.
It will see 300,000 central government employees from 18 departments benefit from reduced fares on all Norwegian flights from London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester.
Norwegian has grown rapidly over the past 18 months, launching more than 10 routes from the UK and expanding its low-cost long-haul offering to the US by more than 50 per cent.
Dominic Tucker, UK head of sales at Norwegian said: “This new agreement will help the Crown Air Programme save costs on their budget while receiving high quality travel with Norwegian. We look forward to taking off this new relationship as we continue our significant UK growth.”
