Low-cost carrier Norwegian has acquired 28 weekly take-off and landing slots at Gatwick airport from Small Planet Airlines.
The airline says it will expand its service from summer 2018, when it officially takes over the slots. Planning is now underway, according to Norwegian, and new routes or additional flights will be announced at a later date.
Thomas Ramdahl, CCO at Norwegian, commented: “Gatwick is at the heart of our global ambitions so securing these crucial new slots will allow us to offer our passengers even more new routes, additional flights and affordable fares.”
