NORWAY bound passengers, which is outside the EU and therefore duty free at British airports, should consider carefully where they purchase their non-taxable goods. Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim and Kristiansand airports have last week opened up inbound duty free outlets in order to attract business particularly useful for drinkers who might find Norway expensive. Gardermoen, the new Oslo Airport since the close of Fornebu, has a temporary outlet of 200 square metres ready in the arrival hall, and in November a new 400 square metres shop with more than 3,000 duty free items will be there to tempt arrivals. Other news from Norway is that from the winter schedule budget airline Norwegian will increase its Stansted operation to 27 flights per week, Oslo twice daily, Bergen daily and Trondheim 6 per week, every day except Tuesday.
