AMERICAN AIRLINES says that business is returning on the North Atlantic. The Dallas-based (Texas) member of the oneworld alliance has released figures for March, which show a capacity rise of 7.5%, a passenger numbers increase of 20.7% and a dramatic rise in load factor from 73.8% to 82.8%. American has recorded growth in transatlantic traffic in all three months of the first quarter of 2004. Over the next few weeks the airline is adding new daily services between Manchester and Boston, Brussels and New York and commences its annual summer season daily service between Glasgow and Chicago.
