STORNOWAY, the main town of Scotland”s Western Isles, and only currently linked to mainland Scotland with flights by BA and Highland Airways to Inverness, is to gain Aberdeen as a gateway. Eastern Airways, with support from the Scottish Executive”s Air Route Development Fund, is to launch a daily Monday to Friday service on Monday 9 January 2006. The launch date may be brought forward, subject to aircraft deliveries, and flight timings will be announced in the coming weeks.
