KENNEDY Airport New York at last has a relatively simple rail link to downtown Manhattan. On 17 December AirTrain was officially opened giving a free link between the various JFK terminals and the chance to travel to central New York in as little as 35 minutes. Rather like its Newark counterpart (also owned by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey) the airport train is not integrated into the New York subway system, passengers needing to transfer at two suburban stations. It is all rather hard work if you have a suitcase. http://www.panynj.gov/airtrain
