WIDER”E, part of the SAS Group, is to connect Edinburgh and Newcastle to Bergen (Norway). From 27 April the new services will complement Wider”e”s existing double daily flights from Aberdeen to Stavanger and Bergen. Wider”e will operate four direct flights a week from Edinburgh to Bergen and twice-weekly flights from Newcastle. All services will be operated by Dash 8-300s 50-seat aircraft. Just as with a great many carriers Wider”e now allows passengers to book their trips as two separate flights. One advantage is the ability to take the cheapest fare possible on the way out, when a fixed day of travel is known, and then go up to a higher price band for flexibility on the return. This is ideal for business people who are not sure of their arrangements.
