DENIM AIRWAYS, the Dutch regional and charter carrier based at Eindhoven, has introduced a second Euro Hopper route, from Augsburg to Berlin”s downtown airport at Tempelhof. Since June it has operated the former Lufthansa service from Augsburg to D”sseldorf using Fokker 50 aircraft. The airline, part of the 20 aircraft Denim Air group, has big plans for next year including the introduction of Fokker 70 jet aircraft. Matthijs Boertien, the present senior vice president (flight operations) of Martinair Holland BV becomes managing director in 2004, with Leen Jansson the present MD promoted as chairman Denim Air Holding BV.
