BMIBABY will operate daily direct scheduled services between Prestwick and Cardiff International Airport from Monday 28 July 2003. The new budget service will replace the current route between Glasgow International and Cardiff. The new route will be boosted with the offer of free rail travel throughout Scotland for bmibaby passengers who can take the train direct to Prestwick”s own railway station. The free travel, on ScotRail services, will apply for a six-month period from July until December. After that, bmibaby passengers will benefit from a 50% discount on all future travel on ScotRail. BMIBaby has also confirmed the introduction of its Teesside operation in October with daily services to Belfast International and Saturday flights to Geneva and Malaga.
