HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS AIRPORTS has appointed Inglis Lyon to succeed Bob Macleod as managing director, the popular former British Caledonian helicopter boss, who is retiring. Aberdeen-born Inverness-educated Mr Lyon (40) is currently managing director of Stagecoach East. Based at Inverness, Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd manages ten airports in the north and west of Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Executive. The airports are expected to handle 1m passengers for the first time this year.
