EASYJET has launched a service from Gatwick to the Croatian city of
Split, the country”s second largest city and a major tourist
attraction. The four-times weekly service expects to carry almost
30,000 passengers during the first six months of operation, with over
10,000 seats sold before the inaugural took off. easyJet is the
largest budget carrier at Gatwick offering 39 routes to 13 countries
throughout Europe with over 800 flights per week during the peak
summer periods. Throughput last year it was over 5.3m passengers.
