MYTRAVEL AIRWAYS, which once traded successfully as Airtours, is to drop its remaining Boeing aircraft for next summer and concentrate on an all Airbus fleet, mainly A320 series but including two A330s. The airline, part of the vertically integrated holiday group, is to close its bases at Leeds Bradford and Stansted airports, its operations from Cardiff and Bristol reduced to summer-only flights. MyTravelLite, based at Birmingham, will continue as a stand alone budget carrier. Full details are expected to be announced in November after consultations with the Unions over redundancies.
