Malev Hungarian Airlines, the national air carrier of Hungary, is launching in February a double daily (12 times a week) service from Stansted to Budapest.
The new flights are in addition to the existing double daily Heathrow flights and will replace the Gatwick operation. The change of airports is in direct response to SkyEurope (see ABTN 15 December) and is one of the benefits of Hungarian integration into the EU.
