COSFORD, the RAF”s huge operational museum near Wolverhampton in the Midlands, is to have a major ”11.2m facelift including a new exhibition hall presenting the complete story of the Cold War, with a dramatic display of aircraft, interactives, living history areas and three dimensional exhibits. It will be the largest exhibition of its kind and will be the only one to hold all of the three V Bombers (Victor, Valiant and Vulcan). Also on display is the sole remaining Shorts Belfast in the UK. Readers may like to know that following the demise of HeavyLift G-HLFT, the airline”s only operational aircraft, has positioned out to Brisbane purchased by Transpacific Pty of Mascot with the Royal Australian Air Force as one of its first customers.
