GROB, the highly successful German light aircraft manufacturer, who sprung a real surprise at the Paris air show by unveiling the SPN Utility Jet, has now flown the prototype. In a maiden flight lasting 66 minutes, the aircraft was said to have performed perfectly. It is also claimed to be the largest jet powered executive aircraft built for single pilot operation. The SPN Utility Jet was designed to operate out of short gravel or grass runways and has a range of 1800nm. First deliveries are expected in less than two years time.
