MAERSK AIR LTD, the British Airways franchise operator, is to fly from Birmingham to Turin four times per week from December using 50-seat Bombardier CRJ jets. In the summer services were started to Athens, Bordeaux, Geneva, Nice, Toulouse and Venice. All are retained in the winter schedule, making Turin the seventh new service this year from Birmingham by Maersk UK, who now operate 17 of BA”s 33 ex-Birmingham routes. The airline should not be confused with the Danish Maersk Air which operates from Gatwick to Billund and Copenhagen. However both are part of the AP Moeller Group.
