MK Airlines, the British specialist cargo carrier, has been granted an AOC (Air Operator”s Certificate) by the UK CAA. MK can”t be described as new, created in Ghana in 1990 but it is now a fully authorised Harkfield, East Sussex, based carrier with a fleet of seven Boeing 747-200F aircraft. Its eighth 747 will be added by the end of the year and whilst major investment would be required both the Dash 400 and 8F versions have not been ruled out.
