GB AIRWAYS has a new managing director, one of the most experienced airline men in the business, Kevin Hatton, formerly of Britannia Airways/Thomsonfly, but also with 29 years experience at British Airways. GB Airways, Gibraltar Airways as was, and now based at The Beehive (the former 1930s terminal building at Gatwick), is a BA franchise operator flying 43 British Airways routes this summer. John Patterson, the current GB Airways MD, will retire at the end of this coming June when Kevin will take over.
