LUFTHANSA is not considering tie-ups with other airlines and is keeping cost cuts very much on the agenda as it acquires Swiss International Air Lines, chief executive Wolfgang Mayrhuber has said. This quashes speculation Lufthansa could seek to expand further after agreeing to take over Swiss. Mayrhuber added that spinning off Swiss' regional network was an option for the airline.
