London City Airport”s new owners are preparing to move in
The airport has been bought by a consortium comprising AIG Financial Products, (a wholly-owned subsidiary of insurers and financiers Amerc International Group) and a joint venture between Credit Suisse and GE Infrastructure.
The airport announced that the new owners intend to work closely with the existing management team to maximise the development and future value of the airport.
The transaction is subject to EU merger clearance and is expected to be finalised in November. The sale price has not yet been announced. The airport is expected to make a formal statement tomorrow.
