LONDON CITY AIRPORT has gained Milan as a destination for the first time. BA Connect, launched officially 26 March, is to introduce daily flights (except Saturday) from 2 May. The airlines Edinburgh service will go up to seven per day from the start of the summer season. Geneva is dropped which leaves Swiss as the sole operator on that route. BA also flies to Frankfurt three times daily, where it competes with Lufthansa. Also new for the start of the summer season BA Connect will introduce flights from Birmingham to Belfast and Berlin. European services to and from London City will retain the Club Europe cabin, whilst the Edinburgh flight continues to offer complimentary catering.
