Following the success of its route between London City Airport and Milan Linate, Air One, Italy”s first privately owned airline, has introduced another twice daily service, this time joining the city airport and Rome Fiumicino. The airline uses two class Avro RJ70 70-seat aircraft for both operations.
London City Airport business development deputy director Bernard Lavelle is delighted to see Air One extending their route network: ”Air One launched their East London network last November with services to Milan Linate, which is proving very popular with the business communities both in Milan and London.”

Air One director sales Claudio Balzarini believes that their focus of developing a London City Airport network addresses the current high level of demand for services between Italy and London: ”2007 is a very exciting year for Air One and by the end of January we will be operating four services from London City Airport to Italy. Our aim is not to stand still; we will be looking to further enhance the current schedules as well as exploring new route opportunities.”
