Loganair has partnered with IAG Loyalty to adopt its Avios currency, the carrier announced on Thursday (9 January).
Clan Loganair members will see reward points “automatically” transitioned to Avios in 2025 – but the UK regional carrier has not yet specified a date.
The move will “significantly enhance benefits”, the carrier said, and strengthen its existing codeshare agreement with British Airways as members of both Clan Loganair and British Airways’ Executive Club will be able to link their accounts and redeem Avios on their respective networks.
Loganair is the seventh airline to join the global Avios network, which includes British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling, Qatar Airways and Finnair.
Loganair chief commercial officer Luke Lovegrove, said: “We strive to offer our customers added value at every stage of their journey and partnering with IAG Loyalty to adopt Avios as the currency of our Clan programme is a significant development that will open up a world of new benefits for our customers.”
