LOGANAIR, a British Airways franchise partner, is to launch a daily air link between Manchester and the City of Derry. The new service begins on 22 July when Aer Arann withdraws from the route. Loganair will operate with a 34-seat Saab 340 aircraft departing from Manchester at 1200 noon from Monday to Friday, with the inbound flight arriving at 1130. There is no Saturday service but on Sundays the flight arrives in Manchester at 1500 and departs 30 minutes later. Flight time is around 80 minutes. Previously Aer Arran used a 50-seat ATR42.
