LIVERPOOL is again linked by air to London, this time via the airport in the Docklands. VLM, now the largest operator at London City Airport, last Monday inaugurated five-times-a-day Monday to Friday service with a single flight on Saturday and two on Sundays. The new route complements the airline”s eight week-daily services to Manchester and links with flights to Antwerp, Brussels, Luxembourg and Rotterdam. It is early days but bookings to date are well up to expectations. VLM Managing Director Johan Vanneste (seen left) will not have to continue selling the Liverpool Daily Post's special edition take-off edition.
