Leslie Wright passed away last week aged 86 after a lengthy illness.
Always known as "Wilbur" and very much an aviation character it was his partnership with pilot Jim Crampton that created Air Anglia, which in turn became Air UK and KLM UK, one of the first airlines into the rejuvenated Stansted. In his younger days he was a keen rugby player and charity fundraiser, having held the position of president of the Yarmouth Lions as well as Yarmouth and Lowestoft and Norwich rugby clubs. The funeral takes place on Tuesday November 14.
