LEEDS BRADFORD AIRPORT has set a precedent which we hope catches on at other UK gateways. Throughout July and August not only have people passing through the terminal been entertained but money has been raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service. The initiative came from a local combo The Dixieland Jazz Group who every Thursday have been getting passengers to swing. Although the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service receives a small amount of government funding it is still highly dependent on fundraising support and donations. The sessions are likely to re-appear next year.
