KUWAIT is the home of a new specialist charter which British Airline Management, a subsidiary of Flightline Ltd, in partnership with the Al Watan Group of Kuwait, expects to be up and running by 1 September. Called NAC (National Aviation Company) the operation will offer first class VIP charter services to the travel trade, private individuals and corporations. NAC has been provisionally granted an AOC by the Kuwaiti authorities and will initially operate an AVRO RJ70 with 30 individual 2 + 2 business class seats, less than half the aircraft's normal airline configuration. With its strategic location Kuwait is very well placed to service the Gulf Region particularly both Iran and, when safe, Iraq. NAC believes the aircraft fitted with its additional fuel tanks gives it the range and performance which is ideally suited for the Middle East area.
