HAWAII is not one of those places that many British think about whether for business or pleasure. It just seems too far away. However even by the traditional routing via the US west coast it is nearer than Australia. Korean Air has now launched a through package to the paradise Islands of Aloha going the other way around. Four times per week the airline's daily overnight flight from Heathrow T3 to Seoul now link in with Korean Air's onward connections to Honolulu. The return operation is not quite as easy requiring accommodation (included in most fares) and offering an opportunity for a visit (long or short) to a fascinating part of the Orient. One interesting aspect of the outbound journey is that travellers arrive technically the day before take off due to crossing the international date line. It does not work so well the other way.
