KENYA AIRWAYS has signed up for six Boeing 787s and agreed an option for a further four aircraft. The aircraft, which arrive in 2010/2011, will replace B767s and give greater fuel efficiency to the airline. It has also ordered its fourth B777-200ER in and recently announced plans to lease three 737-800s. Kenya saw passenger numbers increase by 23% in the first half of its fiscal year after it started using bigger Boeing 777 aircraft on routes to Europe, Asia, Middle East, West and Southern Africa.
