KLM has published its winter timetable for the first time harmonising with its senior partner Air France. Capacity, expressed in available seat kilometres (ASKs) will increase by 9% in comparison with 2003/2004. The arrival of three additional Boeing 777-200ER aircraft contributes towards this expansion and brings the total number of 777s up to ten. From November Air France will suspend its flights from Charles de Gaulle to Manila and Jakarta and will book passengers for these destinations on KLM. Flight times between Schiphol and Charles de Gaulle will be aligned to connect flights to and from both these hubs. KLM services to Thessalonica ex-Schiphol will be suspended. Effective 15 September 2004, KLM will launch a daily roundtrip service to Atlanta. Capacity for this has been released by suspending flights to Miami. On some US routes there will be a reduction on the daily flights. Generally speaking KLM is adjusting some schedules to the Caribbean and to Africa the only casualty being Duala in Cameroon which Air France serves via Paris.
