KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is to suspend services between the Dutch cities of Eindhoven and Amsterdam effective 20 December, 2003. The decision reflects prevailing market and cost developments. Flights on this route will be operated by KLM exel until 1 November, and subsequently by KLM cityhopper until 19 December. Thereafter, passengers travelling to and from Schiphol from the greater Eindhoven area can take the train or use surface transport. There are only 77 miles between the two centres.
