KLM expects to make a full year loss although it does see a return of passengers following Gulf War II and the SARS scare. The airline posted a net loss of ”54m for the April/May/June quarter, as against a profit of ”11m for the same period last year, and an operating loss of ”66m (”47m), versus a profit of ”41m. The airline is aiming to achieve ”200m of cost savings, including 3,000 job cuts out of a previously announced total of 4,500, in the year to end March 2004.
