JETBLUE AIRWAYS, the Kennedy Airport, New York, based super budget carrier is to launch daily services from JFK to The Bahamas at the start of the winter season in November. Flight time using Airbus A320 aircraft is around three hours. The airline has 100 EMB 190 aircraft on order and options for an additional 100 with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2005. All JetBlue ”planes feature roomy all-leather seats each equipped with free live 24-channel satellite television. The airline has also announced services between New York's LaGuardia Airport and Fort Lauderdale (FL), starting 17 September and between JFK and Phoenix starting 1 October, and in a move that one could never see a certain budget airline this side of the water copying has offered free change of flights due to the hurricane forecasts.
