LEEDS BRADFORD AIRPORT is to have competition on the Paris route. Budget carrier Jet2.com, a subsidiary of Dart Group plc which includes Channel Express, will begin flights to CDG on 1 September 2004 challenging incumbent bmi with a midday Boeing 737-300 service as against the bmi morning and evening Fokker 100 and Embraer 145 operation. Jet2.com commenced operation on 12 February 2003 with a service from LBA to Amsterdam. It now serves 13 European destinations.
