Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced the expansion of its codeshare agreements with Qatar Airways and Alaska Airlines.
The agreement with Qatar Airways begins 1 April and includes four routes to the Middle East, six to Africa and one to central Asia. JAL and Qatar have had a codeshare in place on flights between Japan and Doha since 2013. Tickets for the flights go on sale from 14 March.
Meanwhile, the agreement with Alaska Airlines is an expansion of a partnership that began in June 2016. JAL says that since Alaska merged with Virgin America, the carrier has improved its network offering out of San Francisco and Los Angeles, which will provide JAL customers with more flight options and access to the US west coast. Tickets on the route go on sale from 6 February.
