KLM passengers in the UK can now use the Internet to check-in for flights departing from Heathrow, following the successful trial of the service in The Netherlands. The new feature makes check-in even quicker and more efficient for passengers, who can even select on the website their own seat for their flight. Customers can further avoid the queues by using the self-service check-in kiosks to obtain their boarding card. KLM is planning to roll the new service out to its 13 other UK airports from 1 December 2003. Check-in can be accessed from any Internet point and is available between 30 hours and one hour prior to departure to customers travelling with carry-on luggage only. http://www.klm.com
