NEWCASTLE AIRPORT has gained Thomsonfly sister company Hapag Lloyd Express who will introduce a three times weekly service to Hanover from 2 May. It will be the only link from northeast England and the Borders to northwest Germany. The airline already operates from Manchester to Cologne and Stuttgart. From 1 March SAS partner Wider”e will double its services to the oil capital of Norway, Stavanger and move the timings to offer a day return each way. The airline flies from Stavanger to Heathrow and Aberdeen and also Bergen to Aberdeen and Manchester.
