DUBLIN is to have direct flights to the Middle East for the first time. On Friday 2 December 2005, Gulf Air will introduce a three-times-weekly service into its hub airport at Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain, delivering three-class travel on an Airbus A330 aircraft. The non-stop flights remove the need for Irish travellers to transit through London or other European hubs. Bahrain offers through connections to more than 40 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Far East and Asia. Gulf Air includes skybeds, chefs and children”s nannies on every flight (which is also now available for First and Business Class passengers at Bahrain) . It will also offer the only first class cabin in the Irish market. The flights will operate on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with timings designed for onward connections to the Far East and Australia.
