GULF AIR will commence twice-weekly services to Bangalore in India with the start of the winter schedule at the end of the month, the first carrier from the area to do so. The flights will be operated under a code-sharing arrangement, following the recent signing of a commercial agreement between Gulf Air and Indian Airlines, whose codes will be placed on Gulf Air services. The flights are all designed to interconnect with services from the UK and allow passengers a conveniently short transit time in Bahrain. The addition of Bangalore to the Gulf Air schedule brings the number of destinations served by the airline in India to six. Gulf Air already operates daily flights to Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi, Madras and Trivandrum.
