GUERNSEY AIRPORT runway will not be extended from its present length of 1463 metres, according to reports emerging from the Channel Island. Whilst local business groups do have concerns over operational availably for some types of aircraft the runway is sufficient for 150-seat versions of both the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 series, which are probably adequate size-wise for future Guernsey needs. In the meantime a new airport terminal is being completed in time for the 2004 summer season.
