GUERNSEY AIRPORT is in the middle of a major terminal expansion programme due to be completed next spring. The impressive new facility, a fine gateway to the island, can handle 1.25m passengers and has 12 check-in desks, dining area, car hire, retail shops and information desks, and airside a lounge with five departure gates. Linked from the ground floor by two large lifts is a first floor public area with a snack bar, bar and children”s play area overlooking the aircraft stands and apron. Airside covered walkways leading from the terminal building to all the main aircraft stands are provided.
